Amazing that instead of ever being afraid of getting into a fast car again, her worry was not being able to heel-toe. She's a trooper..

terrifying. I dont quite understand what happened to cause the crash. It sounded like a car was trying to change lanes at the last second behind a truck or something and slammed into the side of her?

I don't want to go through what she did or be the cause of what she has been through and will have to live with.

from what i got, she was traveling in the left lane, undisclosed speed, a car in the right lane traveling at around an estimated 1/3 slower than her speed, decided to change lanes at the last second as she was about to overtake and she slammed into the car.

so if she was traveling at 80 mph, the car that she hit would have been traveling at about 27 mph slower

It happened in Germany and she was in am insane R8, so I assume it was on the Autobahn and so the R8 was probably doing more than 80mph. It was probably a case of the driver of the slower car not watching to see if a car was hauling ass in the other lane and thought it was safe to move over. Definitely the slow car's fault for not paying close enough attention.

I believe she was getting it removed.

Yes I agree she was going alot faster and the car she hit was probably going more like 1/2 her speed. I just used that for simplistic purposes

It looked kind of faded in the video. Either way, it makes me realize that saying stupid shit on the internet is just that.

Not to be that guy, but legally speaking it could be her fault too - at least she might be partially responsible.

The Richtgeschwindigkeit ( German Advisory or Suggested Speed of Travel) is a legal term in Germany describing the advisory speed limit for roads without a mandatory speed limit . Autobahns have an advisory speed limit of 130 kilometres per hour (81 mph) on non-signposted sections.

Exceeding the advised speed is not a criminal offense, however an increased liability in the case of an accident may result from driving faster than the recommended speed, due to an increased danger of operating the vehicle. [5]

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

In Germany, the Autobahn-Richtgeschwindigkeits-Verordnung (Directive on Reference Speed on Motorways), introduced in 1974, recommends a speed of no more than 130 km/h (81 mph) for autobahns and similar roads, whose lanes are separated by a median or which have at least two lanes per direction, provided there are no traffic signs posting a lower speed limit.

Regardless of her actual speed, going three times the speed of other road users is likely to be an increased danger.

She didn't mention any legal matters, but I can't stress this enough:

The Autobahn is legally not derestricted and driving 200kph+ like she most likely did is very dangerous for other road users too no matter who is "more at fault" in specific situations! Keep in mind that Jessi chose to drive unnecessarily fast - purely for fun!

This makes her at least morally wrong in my opinion.

Imagine the other side. We don't know what happened to the driver of the other car. But don't you think if the video would be the other way around we would say something like:

Why is a motoring journalist using the Autobahn as a playground so that a small (speak very human) mistake in judgement or attention - we all make them after all - has so severe consequences? Why didn't she stay at The Ring to make a high speed test of the car?

Drive responsibly!

Damn...

What a strong kid. Awesome that she's back "on the horse", as it were. I remember reading quite a bit of (sexist) negativity directing at her in the past; this should do well to shut all of those people up.

This is the thing we all love to do, but it's probably the most dangerous thing we do every day. Be safe out there, friends.
